Balsamic Vinegar Reduction is an ingredient of many recipes online nowadays. How do you actually prepare it?
Balsamic Vinegar Reduction is simply reduced Balsamic Vinegar to a thicker, intenser flavor. It’s a really easy recipe, all you need to do is to cook Balsamic Vinegar (count that at the end of cooking there will be roughly a half of initial quantity) in a small saucier pan on a low to medium fire slowly stirring until it becomes as dense as you desire. Don’t forget to turn your kitchen fan on high cause vinegar is going to be floating into the air!
In order to make it even sweeter you can add some brown sugar or honey, for instance, honey of acacia.
To use older and more intense Balsamic (density 1.30-1.37 Kg/Lt) for this purpose has no sense since it’s already pretty complex and you risk to destroy the precious wood flavour. Just use it raw.
